They're back... 3 African Skimmers were seen & photographed this morning east of Letaba Camp, along the River in @SANParksKNP

With day visitors from adjacent provinces returning to @SANParksKNP
, rare bird sightings are once again being reported, and the much loved skimmers have returned to Sunset Dam by Lower Sabie 6 days earlier than 2019... remember they vanished as a breeding bird from 1938 to 2017

They nest from Sept to December and later mainly in the Okavango, Chobe Zambezi River banks (Beach sand) ..They dont do dams and the winter times they are in Kruger is wrong for breeding too ..BUT Super Exciting ..Great birds to photograph feeding ..There was one at Pioneer dam last year ..also Winter time
