Very nice, Alpheus! X#X

Unusual view of the ellie's flat trunk facing forward there! :-?

Delightful baboon...the stain is rain or something? --00--

And nice you don't moan when seeing nothing on a road! lol

Ja, the ellies will destroy baobabs more and more!

We were on our way to Mopani and at the T-junction we had the privilege to experience this emotional meeting between elephant and skull

Firstly the elephant stopped a few meters away from the skull and it felt as it had a moment of silence before walking closer

Image

Then the "saying hallo" or " I miss you my friend" episode.

Image

Image

His trunk went all over the skull from top to bottom

Image

Image

He actually picked it up and moved it

Image

We were sitting there thinking, one only see this on television.

And finally after about 5 minutes, which felt like an hour, the sad elephant walked away leaving his old friend behind

Image

We had this sad feeling floating inside the car but also great feeling to have experienced this behavior.

We arrived at Mopani. Mrs. Alf booked in at reception and we were allocated the same unit as a few nights before. O/\

Not easy to describe how one feels when witnessing something like this.

A part of you feel sad with the elephant and another part feels happy that you are lucky to see something like it
