Oncoming cars ended the hunt and the dogs stopped the chase
A few dogs were not so sure about giving up and continued in the long grass but by this stage the Impala were long gone.

Very clever to get a vantage point for the dogs

It's amazing to see wild dogs in full sprint.

The chase was over, and the dogs returned to the road, to catch up with each other. By then the rest of the visitors had also caught up with the pack.
A bit of a greeting ritual started...
Until something else caught their attention

The dogs went after a Zebra herd but not with much enthusiasm, the Zebra seemed to think it was quite a joke and had fun chasing the dogs back
It was time to leave for both us and the dogs, they moved off back in the direction away from Croc Bridge

We stopped for a quick photo of the Cheetah that had been kind enough to stick its head up again. Then made our way to Marloth Park.
There was a Lion roaring close to the fence, so it resulted in me braaiing alone. Maybe we would find some lion tomorrow?
