These are not my pics, but there do seem to be some colour variations in the SSJ, although they do all have the white tip on the tail. :-? -O-

It’s freaking me out as there’s definitely SSJ in the mix, but not like one I have seen =O: :-?

I found a picture similar to your pic BC - except this one has a white tip on the tail - otherwise it is exactly the same.

A SSJ on page 133 of the MAMMAL GUIDE OF SA - Burger Cillie. -O-

I read about the ears, but no white tail here unless dirty
