Excellent initiative!
It should be done by all the schools, especially the ones in big agglomerates, where the kids mostly see bare earth and cement. It should also be free, in order to permit all the kids to go. It must not necessarily last for three days, also a single day from time to time will do.
I wonder how much they are taught about their own country, apart from history of course; the geography of the country including flora and fauna?

In the old days I used to do the Enviro Club...a great place is Moholoholo Rehab Centre near Hoedspruit...very educational!
A great experience for the kids, indeed!

Do the animals stay there forever? At least that hyena and that lion won't be released to the wild anymore. Too habituated to humans...

It depends, Mello! Some are released, go to breeding projects, zoo etc...they have all sorts of endangered animals now!
