The H7 is one of my favourite roads. Nsemani Dam is a must stop place when we are in the area. This Ellie sighting was magic, and listen to the call of the Fish Eagle :-)

Alot of great pics! So hoping for them cats & dogs when we go that direction in a couple of days (26 to be exact 0*\ )

Apparently you can still drive to the breach in road from Orpen's side, such a relief! I'm not sure how long I would've stand the dusty busy S106?

Top 5 road in Kruger for me

Great pics harrys and Sharifa!! \O We last saw wild dogs on the H7 in the 80's and it was the first (and only) time we saw a wild dog kill. The dogs were chasing impala between the cars and I still clearly remember an impala jumping over the bonnet of the car in front of us!

This is the only road I know of where a tourist vehicle was actually attacked by a lion!

In the 80's, a mating pair was interrupted by a car, and the male got angry and jumped onto the bonnet and dealt out some punishment! O-/

No great harm done!

(An old CUSTOS article...)

I have spotted dogs, leopard, civet, jackal, badgers, plenty lion and all the usual, but never cheetah on this road. I need to dig out the pics :-?

I find it hot and cold ;-)

There has been a pretty resident WD pack around the middle of the road for many years, but also a Satara pack earlier...nearer the Eastern end of the road...

But I think they chop and change a lot! -O-

To add to that, and I could have sworn I said this somewhere, the H-7 is a road of three parts...

First, from Orpen along the Timbavati River, then a desolate stretch after the S-36 intersection, then more animals once one enters the Delagoa Bush and savannah near Nsemani Dam and beyond! \O
