What a classic river scene, Flutts!
I like the klippie...where was it?
Also never seen a barn owl...
I was still sleeping!

A pretty river scene
I have never seen a little bee-eater
Four hornbills going to a funeral

They are such funny birds, without knowing it
Also the barn owls are not kidding

They are quite small, which is difficult to make out in a photo.
Thanks Lis.

Yes, the hornbills are very strange birds!

I never realised barn owls were so small until I saw my first one at Pilanesberg.

The klippie was near the end of the Salitje road.

If you snooze, you lose.

12 June, Lower Sabie & Croc Bridge
At the Vurhami bridge we could see a lot of cars parked overlooking the dam so we decided to take a look. On the sand road two giraffe were having quite a go at each other. They were a little close for our lenses.

There was a lion couple lying on the other side of the water and they were staring at something quite intently.

They weren't doing too much else so we left them to it and headed back to camp.

There were plenty of bushbuck in the camp, but this one was on the wrong side of the fence.

Our afternoon drive up the S28 and back on the H4-2 yielded nothing!

We had pasta for dinner which was a nice change from all the meat we'd had.

Flutts! Lions!
And glad you enjoyed a bit of pyromania!
Nice food pic, but I don't see the Marmite?
I had woken up by then and were gone!

I doubt very much that it is marmite, it is only a yellow lid
