We have all had to give up something this year :-( Normally I can look forward to a month in sunny SA, but this year I'll have to live with the cold through the whole winter :-(

Yes I know ..it has been tough for many . We are just hoping the provincial borders don't get closed ...Covid is spiking badly here in Cape Town...and other places as well. So yes if we do manage to get to the KTP on the 27th we are indeed lucky. :)

I will be crossing fingers for you! With this new mutated virus, you'll never know O-/ I just heard that Switzerland has closed the borders not only for people coming from GB but also from SA, so you must have got it down there too :shock:

That new Virus is whats ravaging the SA Scene ..over 80% of new cases are the NEW one

We are back from the KTP...:) and I have three bird species to add...:)
Lesser Moorhen ( lifer for me as well )
Dwarf Bittern ( another lifer) and
Helmeted Guinea Fowl.

I will add photos here when I get them sorted. :)

I think I must leave the rain out of this conversation ...suffice to say it tested me to my absolute limits and I had to throw money at the problem and upgrade to a chalet for a night. You know that saying "save money for a rainy day " well thank goodness I had some saved rainy day money as I upgraded to a chalet at Augrabies as well. O**
