The smaller stuff can be so rewarding - at least when you don't struggle with photos of one particular species
Very cute baby squirrels. I'll have two of them, please
We're talking maybe Mountain Zebra (and Addo, of course) October 2019. We think, that it might still be a bit nippy at night.
Is it comparable to March / April?

They really are cute Flutts. Strangely only one den site had little ones... I'm not sure what time of year they normally show up

Aha another trip this direction! MZ can be a bit nippy at night any time of the year. We camped in late November once and one night was unusually cold. But generally by October it should be warming up nicely

Endless Landscapes
Something I really love about Mountain Zebra are the ever-changing landscapes. Look in any direction and there are incredible views that seem to stretch on forever. The park itself is relatively small, but the views create the impression of immense space. I'm not a particularly great landscape photographer, but here are some of the views we enjoyed during our stay
The views from the camp are fantastic
Sonnenrust 4x4 trail
Doornhoek Dam at sunrise
Moody weather from Rooiplaat
Dappled light along the Wilgerboom River valley
The famous scar on Bankberg - in 1974 a 22 ton rock rumbled down the mountain causing a 250m long scar that is still visible today
Juriesdam 4x4 trail
Sunset colours accompanied by the distant roar of lions

Couldn't agree more about the beautiful landscapes! And with some fluffy sheep cloud it's even better.
I also love when the sun breaks through an almost covered sky in the late afternoon. Awesome colours
appear in the mountains (and beyond).
