I really wasn't aware of the 31st. I had always assumed you saw the caracal later on that day when we left.

you spoke to me about the Caracal.... but it's very rare to find the same predator, at the same place, a day after... so I drove the dunes road
they spoke about a Springbok (lamb Springbok)... and have to watch my pictures again

Easter was from 29 March to 1 April and the time Mel saw her caracal fits in perfectly. Jaap's post was made on the 3 April, but the photo might have been taken earlier.

legs of the prey, foot seems to be a little bit sharp/long..... the head..... and one colors hairs

what do you think ???? Springbok or Steenbok

Springbok legs would be more light in colour and the head does not look like Springbok

maybe the guy saw the kill... or can't do the difference between the two Antelopes
