Technically speaking the animals in the park are wild - they roam free with the exception of the cheetah. They have their own large enclosure but are fed rather than hunt... my understanding is that it is very difficult to return cheetah to the wild - okonjima up in Namibia are one of the few places that have successfully done soLisbeth wrote:Do any of these animals return to the wild?
The cheetah are fed, but none of the other animals.Mel wrote:Do the animals live wild or are they fed?
No not particularly. The cheetah at the park are part of a breeding program, with these ones being the first born at the park in a while (the males are sometimes lent to other parks in the program as well). The cubs and mother are in a separate area from the rest of the adults, and to be honest it's a big area with not much chance of seeing them unless they are in exactly the right place - which they were for usToko wrote:Looks like happy cubs, are they there to attract tourists?
