Lots of nice sightings, Rog!
And plenty rain it seems!
I like the terrapin at Biyamiti...only place one could get a shot like that!
Those are normal jackals, Side-striped have a white tail-tip.
And the cheetahs!

it was wet and amazingly greener since the last trip . Think the Jackals looked different due being wet .

Re: Yet Another Quick "Business" Trip to Kruger .
The next morning we packed the car and left early the plan was to drive the S28 and S30 Gomondwane and back down to the river road .
The Kruger sunrise was wonderful as always
It was still wet and muddy tracks and not much to be seen .Close to Dukes we found this little fellow
As we got to the S30 loop T junction we came across 3 Bull Ellies .And they were not happy the one was mock charging the other two and lots of trumpeting and head shaking .
It was quite a site but also a bit scary as each time we thought they moved off the road they would come back out onto the road .
We decided to rather change the planned route and go the other way out the loop onto the tar at the last little pond this Heron was hunting
and just before we left the loop I found the poster bird for the game angry birds
We drove back to the river road and started to head along it .Close to Hippo pools we found another Jackal
There were loads of flowers popping out from the rains
We carried on the trip across the S25 with the final destination our final two nights at Berg En Dal .

The "angry" bird is hilarious What kind of bird was it?
Better to avoid ellies in a bad mood
I lost the last page : Lovely black-winged kite. They are not very common in Kruger, if I don't error
Great to see all those mongooses and even cheetah

Re: Yet Another Quick "Business" Trip to Kruger .
We then found this Marshal eagle who refused to look at us and was too busy watching the river
At the S26 intersection a terrapin was catching some sun .
We then found another Owl in the trees .
We had been trying to work out where the road from Mejejane comes through when we found this Marshal Eagle who was much more accommodating .
Along the S118 a hyena suddenly appeared with some leftovers
We tried to see where it had appeared from but all we could see in the thick bushes was some raptors and vultures in a tree .
We also found this Ellie although it was hiding behind the tree we took some pics as it had a Absis or old wound on its side .
We turned up the tar to go stop in at Afsaal .Along the road these very thin Hyena cub's were lying outside the den.
A bit further we found a little traffic and the reason was some impressive maned flat Lions .We did a drive by shooting as they were not going anywhere soon.
We stopped at Afsaal and then carried on towards Biyamiti .
