Here people have been protesting, sustaining that 5G is dangerous to the health

In SA we don’t care about health issues we care about stuffing our own pockets full of money

For sure a whole lot of people are thinking only of the latter. I often wonder how many will be called to pay for their greed and disrespect for their fellow citizens

Sorry, I am digressing

Re: Dimwits Berg & Dal 2020 - Short and Wet

And then we were in camp!

As always it was my kosbeurt (food turn) on the first night, so after unpacking, and with rain a constant threat, I started the chicken fire!

Unfortunately Goldenboy had brought the worst wood in the history of wood...utterly impossible to set alight!

RP: "WTF wood is this? Fossilised?

GB: "It is apple leaf. My neighbour gave me a lot...

Dw: "Why you braaiing wif apples?"
RP: "Of COURSE your neighbour gave it away, you idiot!

Bl: "Let ME show you how to make a fire!

GB: "No, let ME show you!

Dw: "No, let ME show youse!

And so on and so forth. Mercifully they left on an afternoon drive and I redid the fire myself with proper wood..our entire wekend's wood supply went up in smoke that night.

I also used the opportunity to take my annual shower in peace and quiet!

Unfortunately more pain lay in store, as the powers that be had installed a totally unmarked and mysterious water manipulation system in the claustrophobic shower compartment. As you try and evade the burning or freezing water while you guess what may come next, you cannot really escape as the cubicle was built to prison specifications. Meanwhile the soap holder has no hole or water-draining lip, so the soap turns to soup quite quickly while you are busy with your initial survival training...

The children returned from an utterly fruitless trip in an even more irritating frame of mind...
In the background is the sliding door of the unit, which opens once and is then stuck...it remained open for the rest of the stay no matter what we did. as I have said, I don't even try to contact B&D anymore regarding maintenance.
The chickens came out deliciously, although the garlic bread tasted stale in my opinion, probably because it had been to Marloth a few times already!
Next morning off to reception to drop off the keys and for Dwarf to shop, of course...
Never seen the dam totally dry before!

The restaurant had recently burned down...it should be up again in a few years!
Meals were being sold from under a tent by Tindlovu, not bad.
And off Dwarf and I went down a full Croc river, the other two had left hours before on a separate route, which shall be covered later!
