What a waste of money for such a stupid incident that could easily have been avoided. The parties will most likely arrive at a private agreement and Sanparks will pay

Re: CYCLIST NIC DLAMINI HOSPITALISED AFTER SCUFFLE WITH RANGER
The rangers have officially been suspended today, on full pay. And no time limit placed on the "investigation."
As Thakhuli said, they were last week given letters of intention to suspend to which they must reply with reasons why they shouldn't be suspended. This is standard intimidation practice and should simply be ignored. In terms of labour relations the employer needs to do the suspending or shut up.

Isn't there an exaggerated fuss around this incident

Re: CYCLIST NIC DLAMINI HOSPITALISED AFTER SCUFFLE WITH RANGER
SP are not going to say any more about this...hence the use of "sub judice" in the release.
That is a standard Government and other criminals' response to questions they don't want to answer over the years past, and is nonsense. One can give a running comment during court proceedings if one wants to, and no case has yet been opened by either party anyway, nor a court date set.
When the shoe is on the other foot and SANParks are hounding some or other perceived transgressor they have no problem in going hammer and tongs on all media platforms ad nauseam.
