We found out how raisins are made
These where nice green grapes
The landscape between Upington and Springbok
Next Hondeklip Bay and the sand

Sigh... time to get back... just love the South African landscape

Not much security around the raisins...they would all be gone overnight here!

Re: 10 Day road trip to Northern and Western Cape
After 2 days in Upington we left for Hondeklip Bay........oh boy.......
We traveled very well up to Springbok but then I had to get to Hondeklip bay.....there are 2 routes, the one that was the shortest was very confusing and it looked like we might not get to our destination as I could not find the correct road, so we decided to drive to Garries and then take the 84 km gravel road, it was about 100 km further but worth it.
The road that the gps indicated we should take was closed and under construction but we found the correct road 5 km's further on, the temperature in my car showed 38 degrees when we hit the gravel road. At fist the road was very bad but not far down the road they where busy grading it so we had a good drive with lots off dust and speed only 75km/h. Half way we stopped to take a pic off clouds that was approaching from the sea and I noticed that the cable for the trailers lights was missing and to attached to the car anymore, I found it but the socked was badly damaged and I had to replace it later, the temperature was 26 degrees
We arrived in Hondeklip bay just after 13:45....the temperature was 18 degrees
Here are some pics
The approaching clouds looked like a tsunami wave
Our kennel
The harbour
Topless Some plants on our way to disaster.......
Next a very embarrassing event.......I don't like sand
