As Lis has mentioned those Louries just don't sit still 0*\
More places could take a tip from them around the dog sign and implement! O/\

And loerie and malachite! X#X

Looks very nice there...one may fall asleep every now and then. lol
For peace and relaxation this is an ideal place to get away from the rat race O**
The areas in and around have a lot to offer a visitor! :-)

Otherwise it looks like a really serene place. The ducks look very relaxed and
it seems like time is standing still kind of in your photos. Love it
Glad you also appreciate the sign lol lol
Mel no big 5 or red sands but ideal place to recharge ones batteries O/\

Took a drive to the lookout point :-)

Image

Ebb & Flow down below

Image

Coming down the hill found this island to be rather interesting O/\
O\/ Did not notice any human inhabitants as yet! =O:

Image

Then we were off to see the big tree ;-)
Nice mountain scenery on route there O:V

Image

Then we arrived at our destination

Image

It is an easy walk only +- 80 m from the parking area O/\

Image

The ferns are just beautiful

Image

So peaceful all you could hear were the Knysna Turaco's calling to each other -O-
The rest was deathly quiet O-/

Image

Image

Image

Even with this notification, which did not help 0- as the notice had been mutilated 0*\

Image

Image

I don’t think even if I lay down on the ground I would have been able to get the entire tree into the photo to the crown

Image

Part of the forest

Image

Interesting to see the different mushrooms and fungus growing on the stems and stumps of fallen trees

Image

In various colors and shapes

Image

Image

Tried to find the Malachite Kingfisher on our return, but it did not happen  but loved the reflection in the water O/\

Very good, AN! ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Love the big trees, a true heritage...SANParks are chopping them down... @#$ https://africawild-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=303&t=447

Nice attention to detail with the fungi...

I really can't understand why people have to carve their messages into things? I last did it as a small child, maybe that is the answer? O**

My favourite is the island! O/\
