WEDNESDAY 11 OCTOBER 2017 PART 4/4.

Ah well we come to, what we thought, was the end of a not so exciting day as we had really been spoilt over the past 5 days.

Some rhino chilling out on Mankwe Way.

Image

Not such a good photo of two steenbok on Mankwe Way.

Image

Mother and child rhino on Mankwe Way. Mom had quite a horn on her.

Image

This Crimson-breasted Shrike just would not sit still for a photo.

Image

Eyes in the night.

Image

And so it is we went to bed wondering whether Pilanesberg would live up to its reputation of always showing us an amazing sighting on our last day. Could Pilanesberg produce a more exciting sighting than last years last day????????

PILANESBRG DID NOT DISAPPOINT.

To be continued.

And so our last day begins with this huge fellow blocking our road.

Looking over Mankwe Dam from the viewpoint on Tau Link.

Popped in at Rathlogo hide. A little grebe swims past with a lovely reflection.

Captured a few wildebeest making a dash across the water at Rathlogo Hide.

Finally at Rathlogo hide a yellow billed duck gave us a swim past.

THURSDAY 12 OCTOBER 2017 PART 2/6.

Stopped off at Pilanesberg for our final cappuccino. Not much going on, not even birds flying around.
Only this piggy having a good scratch.

Image

Two little boys getting some shelter from the sun.

Image

After a nice mud bath.

Image

Another ellie a bit close to the car.

Image

A rather pleasant shot of a rhino with a long horn sharing his feeding area with other game.

Image

To be continued. We go looking for Kgodisa to say our farewell.

O:V Pretty cool seeing 2 generations of cheetah cubs ^Q^

Of course I love the bfly, being an insectaholic, the ellies fighting are adorable, as is the Grebe. \O \O

The wildebeest running thru the water are really special and the Yellow-billed duck is quite striking.

Waiting for what your last day held -O- -O- 0() 0() O\/
