Absolutely correct in all respects, Graham! ^Q^ ^Q^

The irony is some of your suggestions are actually law, like the 2 way radios and Moz taxis originally having to overnight. But not enforced.

Excellent, Graham! BUT is SANParks willing to do anything about it? As RP said, many things have been decided and partly resolved, but after a short period they are just forgotten or put into a closed drawer 0*\

Yes, it is a complex problem with no easy solution but a start needs to be made somewhere.
I have often said there should be a 2 or 3 hour delay between posting a sighting, and it appearing on the app / website or whatever platform people are viewing it on.
And this would be up to Ossendryver to implement....... he claims to be aware of the problem, so do something about it then O**

Ossendryver has become a Businessman, you cannot expect him to go against his own interests O** One thing is what he says another what he thinks ;-)

That is exactly why more pressure needs to be put on him. He gets far too much "celebrity" attention.
Now, why do we have so many Latest Sightings reposts on this forum? -O-

It is simply stupid to make regulations which are difficult to enforce because it creates a "don't care" attitude for visitors and a "that's not important" attitude for staff.
Having day visitors enter and exit at the same gate is easy - fine those who don't.
Making taxis overnight is difficult because it involves hospitality and enforcement. Speed / distance fines are easy to enforce at the gate.
Trying to stop the use of 2 way radios is like trying to stop the use of cellphones on our roads. Totally outlawing them in the park (have them declared and sealed like firearms) is far better. There is no reason why day entering OSVs need to be equipped with radios.

There are lots of people that travel through the Park, say from Phalaborwa to Nelspruit and use different gates to enter and exit. Why should they be fined for this, absolutely ridiculous.

The purpose of the overnight idea was to limit people using the park as a short cut. But, once a person has paid for their booked accommodation, you can't force them to sleep in it.

Phalaborwa to Malelane is 275 km. Still think it is a good idea for people to be driving this distance (at the speed limit lol ) and allowing for stops, sightings and the odd dirt road? They must be tired and then they still have to drive from the park.

It may inconvenience a few people but I think it would help with speeding, congestion and security. Let's hear some other ideas though. 0:

Ossendryver himself races to sightings per using his App ..Ban the App period /Block it or whatever , ban Moz Taxis ..they must use Komatipoort or Umtali in Zim ...

All very well but how do you ban/block the App? You can ban Ossendryver and you can ban the car decals, but an app?
And how do you id a Moz taxi? Normal registered taxi is easy, but a taxi posing as a tourist vehicle (or an SA taxi). You can close the border crossing but then they would no doubt create their own border crossing.

If SANParks do not read what we write, then this is a useless discussion and all based on our personal views.

Staying outside the park for me it is very useful to be able to choose the entrance and exit gates. If it would help to resolve one or another problem I'll be willing to enter and exit from the same gate -O-
