This lion lay there for 5 hours ..he was just chilling and roared this once ..I left shortly after as the light was getting harsh and went back up the hill to have breakfast with Jane at our campsite ..we left again at 12h00 and he was still there but facing away and by now he had a 20 car audience ..The pleasure of staying at Rooiputs ..Handbrake off at 7am daybreak and drift down the hill to sights like this all to yourself in BEST light with about 30 minutes respite before Twee Rivieren arrives

Imagine the peace and quiet that exists at the moment as it was 2 years ago in a wet year at sunset in top light after everyone had left for T Rivieren

We should have been here at this time of the year ..beginning May ..My most favorite piece of Real Estate on Planet Earth ...No Traffic, No Close neighbours ..No Facilities apart from a Long Drop Loo..Behind my Back.. I love the Cat Highway past our site Behind Jane and it continues down the hill ..visible through the Afdak ..The Boss cant phone me ..No Signal ..Love that ..Imagine being in Lock down and being visited by my lions who dont have to wear Masks and keep a distance from me ..Really nostalgic tonight ..Its cloudy in the pic so give it a click
