Lovely and very different TR!

my first thought was that maybe the Tawny had just ripped the buck's leg off as it was lying sleeping?

:-) :-) :-) :-)

the braaivleis at uncle bushcraft's house ended quite late

and when i got home my two friends justerini & brooks were waiting for me

and i sat with them for a very long time until i was so tired that i was struggling to talk properly

:o0ps: :o0ps: :o0ps:

so i went to bed

and when i woke up in the morning the gate had already been open for an hour

0*\ 0*\ 0*\

it was just after 8 o clock when we saw the brown's in their car on the bridge

over the sweni river and it reminded me of the song that we had learnt at school

Image

"Way down upon the Swanee River,
Far, far away,
There's where my heart is turning ever,
There's where the old folks stay.
Chorus
All the world is sad and dreary,
Ev'ry where I roam,
Oh, darkies how my heart grows weary
Far from the old folks at home."

anyway.....

aunty cow had spotted a lion in the distance

and this lion had a whole lot of other lions with him

and he had walked all the way from the one side of the bridge to the other side of the bridge

and was waiting patiently for the rest of the lions to catch up

Image

Image

a few of the cars from the bridge followed the lions along the sand road next to the sweni river as far as the water hole

but they never went as far as that

so we turned back and caught glimpses of them every now and then while driving up and down the sand road

Image

Image

Image

we hung around there for a long time and then the browns and the other cars left

and so we waited for a longer time ............

until we saw some of the lions crawling around in different directions .................................

and then we saw the one lion jumping up

and chasing a kudu that was eating nearby

and then there were lots of kudu running away

Image

Image

Image

Image

and then there were some lions standing around

and they could not believe that the kudus had all run away.

Image

Image

Image

it was very exciting !!!!!!!!!!!!!

O\/ O\/ O\/ O\/ O\/

and i could feel my heart beating in the back of my neck...

then we went back to the camp

because it was very hot and some of my friends from carling counrty were waiting at the camp with some biltong that they wanted to share with me...

on the way we saw this giraffe with very bad acne

Image

and a lonely fluffy little zebra.

Did Justerini and Brooks talk back? O**

Great lion sighting, pity BC's clan missed all the excitement! 0*\ You managed to get some great pics with all that thick bush! \O I'm sure we've seen that same pride...they walked down the tar and we also followed them down the gravel road. ;-)
