The best way of beating the Kruger blues is planning your next trip, (the dates & camps keep changing for our upcoming trip )
OR looking at old memories - We had a very successful trip in Dec, just being in our beloved Kruger these days is already a huge "soul-feeder" to me
11 - 13 Dec'12 Satara
14 - 15 Dec'12 L/Sabie
Returning - 16 Dec'12
We entered at Malelane gate, an overcast Kruger awaited us and by the time we reached Tshokwane it was raining elephants & rhinies!

Just a few highlights - Dec'12
Day 2 Morning drive
A lot of action, already posted under S100 flavor of the month, will not bore you again with those sightings
viewtopic.php?f=263&t=2967&start=80
Continued - Brunch @ Nwanetsi
This view from lookout point will never get old - a lot of rain the previous night, so a muddy river
3 in 1 Near the walkway to the lookout point

Before I continue I was given a friendly reminder that I must change my heading of this TT as I consider every pic taken in Kruger as a highlight, which is true I must add and I can't "give innocent people high hopes" so I will do just that

Another highlight here: Devil Thorn a traditional remedy for all sorts of disorders and then a Ellie - you should change back to the old heading

The Kruger tango is a unique dance. It can’t be performed anywhere else in the world, it requires A LOT of skill, and if you don’t have patience (Remember, Patience not just the name of a Wi#py waiter) do not even attempt. There is a lot of varieties, everyone has developed their unique style over the years
Traditonal tango - Slow….slow….quick…quick…slow
Kruger tango goes something like this
Forward………..forward……….right..........right……….stop!
OR
Backwards..........backward……….left...........left………..right!
OR
%&%$............^%%$^^............&^^%$#...........%$#@@#$............Never mind,just go!
The latter I am to say I have perfected
Our afternoon drive produced this beautiful cheetah on an anthill just before the Nkaya pan turnoff
So we were forced to tango our way around our fellow dancers (huge traffic jam) just to get this microscopic evidence through the trees, I hate the KRUGER TANGO!
An almost perfect end to a perfect day

Thank you all !
We went on a night drive that night and we were not disappointed this time
S100 mega pride and a few lion locals before camp , so we were very grateful, no worthwhile pics to share though
It was our last day in the Satara area before we had to go to L/Sabie for 2 nights

Nice, Twigga!
Zebras often get clawed on the butt by lion...normally the skin grows back if it's not too bad, but the stripes there are sometimes then out of allignment...something to look for!

Greenville
So interesting RP!
Our afternoon drive produced this Big boy, and he caused a huge gathering so the tango continued
A nervous monitor, deciding if it should do a bungee jump from bridge or not, some people or poepol cut off it's escape route
Our last sighting of the day produced this feathered friend who I have no idea?
TBC
