Thanks Dinginwe,

we have been there in 2007 and it is a more than wonderful game reserve - Especially the pans are incredible X#X I remember we spent a couple of hours in that hide and the birdlife was wonderful with only few people and we stayed the whole time alone in the hide :ty: for bringing back some wonderful memories \O

Some more pictures

I noticed many camera traps in the reserve, like this one that is obviously placed here to check which predators or scavengers roam the reserve (the smell was awful, I think even a Hyean would avoid it) :

There were also camera traps along the roads, probably not only to check the animals but to monitor the movements of poachers that are numerous. The comunities around the reserve are very poor and frequently come into the reserve to hunt. Impala or wildebeest are more targeted than rhinos but snares kill indiscriminatly. There are 32 rangers who regularly patrol the reserve at night.

It would be better if they kill a few more wildebeests and impalas than putting snares 0=

It is very green \O
