Imfolozi Nyalazi Gate Protests

Post by Bushcraft »

Hi all,

Please be careful and check before using Nyalazi gate as an entrance to Imfolozi. Sad as it's the main gate. Friends of mine got badly jammed up on the weekend and eventually had to enter via back dirt roads and then pay a bribe for using the dirt road, etc and exit via the top Hluhluwe gate

The locals have taken picks to the road in places, unbolted the barriers and then bolted them across the road, rocks, fire, tyres, etc, all the normal stuff, but the barriers bolted across the road are a new addition to protests in KZN.

Is there a spike in violent protests?

If EU tourists would know what there is behind the label "gate protest" it could affect tourism in SA O**

Last week at Plettenberg Bay was in EU media O-/

If the other tourists knew all that I know, they would never put foot in SA.

Obviously a lot of people believe that violent protest is the only way to get service delivery. Perhaps they are right 0*\

Such inventive Zulus.

It is plain attempted murder without any excuse and they should be shot on sight.
