Napi Wilderness Trail

Post by Dindingwe »

The Napi Wilderness Trail is situated between Pretoriuskop and Skukuza restcamps. The Biyamiti and Napi rivers flow through the area and offer scenic walks along their banks. Vegetation consists mainly of broad leave woodland and tamboti thickets. Seasonal pans in the area allow for lots of big game sightings. Both white and black rhino are regularly seen in these pans.

The camp, with en-suite tents, is located close to the Biyamiti river and has great views on the surrounding bush and the river just below the tents.

I have not done the Napi Trail yet, hope to do it soon, and the only pictures I have in relation with the trail were taken on the H1-1, just at the entrance of the road leading to the Napi Camp. We can see the no entry sign of the Napi road. On the last picture, the Cheetah (there were 3 of them) drinks in a puddle on the Napi Road and they all disappeared following this road.
