It is ironic that the snarers are shot dead quite often, as they move through the rhino battleground. So they get a quick death? :-?

Maybe a death sentence is a bit exaggerated for snaring, but there ought to be at least a BIG fine, which they cannot pay but then they go to jail :yes:

The 'Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962' covers snaring as well.

The elephant with a snare reported early this morning on the S100 has been located, darted, treated and released again and should make a good recovery.
