Re: Speeding in Kruger
Annual Report Presentation 2018/19 Financial yearPresented by Mr Fundisile Mketeni: CEO
Never heard about thisA decrease of 75.5 % fines issued from the previous year.
Challenges:
The EMI fines shows a major decrease of 75,5 % to the previous year and this is due to the traffic fines no longer recorded due to the legal opinion received indicating that SANParks should stop issuing traffic fines in terms on National Road Traffic Act, but are permitted to issue other fines related to Environmental crime in accordance to NEMPAA.

SANParks has expressed its shock following the discovery of three impalas seemed to be knocked down by a speeding vehicle on Thursday, 27 December 2019.
We call upon anyone who might have seen this incident to please come forward with information.
We continue to urge visitors to observe the rules of the park and keep to the speed limit at all times. "One animal killed is one too many."
We also request visitors to utilise the emergency number when they witness these kind of incidents.
We call upon anyone with information to report. The size of the park makes it difficult for law enforcement officials to be everywhere in the park... so we request visitors to be vigilant, observe the rules and report anyone law breakers.
◆︎ Please report all sightings of snared animals, suspicious behaviour, rule breakers and any other incidents as follows - (We suggest you add these numbers to your mobiles before leaving for your visit to the park.) :
** Kruger National Park Emergency Hotline 013 735 4325 /013 735 0197 or 076 8019679 (WhatsApp or call)
- Report as soon as you can/have signal
- Give as accurate location as possible – a pin, GPS coordinates, or visual description/road number.
- Take a photograph of the incident/animal to forward to the WhatsApp number

As far as we know from eyewitness and other people who saw it happen.
That a man in a white Toyota Fortuner had just driven over them.
So when we arrived there were 4 Impala's lying on the left hand side of the road we saw a Hyena entering from the right hand side of the road take one of the Impala's and run off with it.
The whole Impala herd was also on the right side of the road. Going crazy and making alot of noise.
We spoke to a few people and they said the man with the Toyota Fortuner had passed them on his way to Tshokwane.
On arrival at Tshokwane we saw the man standing by his Fortuner and inspecting the damage to the left hand side of his car.
We were then told that he had contacted the Ranger on duty to inspect the car as well as to go see where the Impala's were hit.
The Ranger came back after about +- 1 hour took pictures of the damage to the car spoke to the driver again and both went there separate ways.
Don't know what happened after that.
All I can ask people that enter the Park is to please don't speed.

Re: Speeding in Kruger
The 'Ranger' couldnt have been Steve Whitfield from Tshokwane ..That Fortuner guy would have been arrested..Section Rangers arent on Duty ..They manage sections ..Maybe it was a Fund Raiser HR on Camp Duty or something ..ie nothing will happen
