Yip, I think that's the big question. Look at the credentials, is this a guy who should be running a restaurant franchise :-? I suppose it's not that difficult O**

Do you really want an answer BC, because I can give a really biting one, or is this a tongue in the cheek remark??? O**

This is not going to end well, sad to say.

We always eat in the restaurant on our last night in a camp, if there is one of course, family tradition, that my parents started, so comments on last trip to Kruger.
Punda Maria - reasonable meal limited menu, excellent service.
Shingwedzi - reasonable meal (evening), bigger menu than Punda obvious reasons, also very nice, toasted sandwich (brunch), staff some very good, some not so.
Mpoani - Lunch (camping at Tsendze), good meal, excellent servicing very nice dessert.
Satara - Domino's sad to say, the worst pizza every, we didn't eat it, evening meal okay but not a great dinner menu. Coffee not good, desserts fine.
Letaba and Olifants both late breakfast/early brunch good meals and service. Letaba had the best coffee.
No eating out at Crocodile Bridge and on the way down, picnic site only coffee.
Skukuza - lunch again at staying at Pretoriuskop (Wimpy breakfasts and toasties are great) but, the food at the Cattle Baron was great,( they were extremely busy) so was the service.
The new outfit at Afsaal was not up and running (alterations) could only get coffee, should not have bothered!!!
All in all over the years have had some great food, good food and some downright B awful food, but at the end of the day as we are campers if the food is not up to standard, can always rustle up something quick, however overseas and local visitors who rely on the restaurants have a problem.

Lets just face it, face the truth in as much that
Sanparks have managed to fluff it again! Not unlike
all their other ventures!!! Yet somehow they forever
manage to isolate their problems as singular issues
apart from the bigger picture.

Fact is that it is becoming clearer by the day that
their mission statements are becoming more and more
relative and much the same as organizing a piss up in
a brewery, with very little success!!!

Think the majority of posters on this forum, think and can say "Told you so!" no forward planning or what if scenarios.

Thank you somabhula, these are the signs that indicate
the Curators, and .govs strategies, commercialization etc.
policies are not falling in line and filling political shortfall
that would be complementary toward a greater goal!!

Kruger Park in the clutches forever of evil wrong doing!!

The current power lines crossing the northern section,
mentioned in some books as only aesthetic value compromised.
A rather sordid comment at the time considering the loss of Fauna!!

But yes at the time, Cahora Basa and trade relations were
the center of political agreement!!

I beg of you!!!!???

Interesting points, all! \O

Thought-provoking to mention the Cahora Bassa powerlines, H!

Different times, and strategic then, although maybe a tender or two and collusion then too?

But still in use, and not contributing to SP coffers.. -O-

Following an on-going dispute with Ringgold Companies, the operators of Mugg and Bean outlets in Letaba, Satara and Olifants restaurants in Kruger National Park, South African National Parks (SANParks) will terminate power supply to all three restaurants today (21 September 2017). This is following the Arbitrators awarding in favour of SANParks on the matter.

“Ringgold was requested to vacate the premises in terms of the arbitration award and a letter of demand was sent to their attorneys of record to settle its utilities account by 18 September 2017, which it failed to do,” according to SANParks Head of Communications, Janine Raftopoulos,

This is following a host of complaints by guests related to the quality of service experienced by guests at the above mentioned rest camps. “There are already temporary restaurant facilities in place to provide services to customers in each of the rest camps.

“The parties are in court where Ringgold is challenging the arbitration process and the matter is sub judice,” concludes Raftopoulos.
