As for Lake Panic, there is always something to see at Sunset Dam. It was there that I saw 2 of my lifers :

Back in July 2014, Black Storks (with Yellow-billed Storks and Impala)

Great stork parade :-0 But the heron is the super photo O:V ^Q^
