Re: Lizards: Interesting or Unusual Behaviour
When it comes to nature, even the tiniest of creatures going about their daily activities will leave you amazed with their unpredictable behaviour.
Take this blue-headed tree agama for instance that grabbed the opportunity to indulge in a two-course meal that happened to walk right by - giving the term “fast food” a whole new meaning! The footage captured by Kuno Stielau at Marakele National Park, and shared by Latest Sightings, shows the lizard quickly grabbing and munching on two unsuspecting bugs.
"I caught sight of the lizard eyeing out a caterpillar on the tree. It would not approach it while I was there so I set my camera to record on the tripod, and went for lunch,” says Stielau, adding that when seeing the footage, noticed that the beetle on the log unfortunately also became part of the lizard’s menu. “I had to laugh at how cheeky the lizard looked.”
“Looking at the smaller things often gives as much enjoyment, or even more, than the larger things. Anticipate what nature will do and set up for it,” says Stielau.

Re: Snakes: Interesting or Unusual Behaviour
It's not a cobra, it's a python! Which makes it more credible

WATCH: Cobra snake tries to hunt monitor lizard
The snouted cobra is an aggressive snake and are they are potently neurotoxic and classified as highly dangerous. Video courtesy of Kruger Sightings on YouTube.
July 10, 2018
This snake was out and about trying to grab himself a mammoth meal as he took on this sizable monitor lizard…
“The lizard showed immense strength as it dragged the snake up the road. I didn’t want to move my car in case I spooked the snake – this meant that they got a bit too close for comfort (at one point they were both tangled up partly under my car).”
“As time went on I could see that the lizard was flagging. It had clear bite wounds in its neck and it was covered in venom.” “Despite this, incredibly, the lizard was able to escape the snake’s jaws a couple of times and made a swift exit.
Unfortunately for the lizard, the snake caught it again (once in the face). This went on for some time and the lizard eventually stopped moving.”
