Toko, this tortoise seems to be a 'flat' tortoise. Is it related to the terrapin?

This pic was taken in 2005 with a 'mik and druk' camera in Kruger, and I saw one again during my December visit. :-?

I know next to nothing about terrapins, but I keep on taking photos of them and have begun to wonder if they are different sorts. These are ones that I saw in KNP in April 2016.

1. seen from the low level bridge at Croc Bridge

2. seen from the H12 bridge over the Sabie river

3. seen from the high level bridge over the Olifants river

4. seen at a water crossing along the S90

5. seen from Matambeni hide

6. seen at the H1-7 end of the Dzundzwini loop
