Peter Betts, wonderful buffs you have found - thanks for sharing them with us all.

Mopani area for biggest buffs ? - quite possibly. My first few photos I published here right at the start of this thread are from the Mopani area and two of them were 50"+ - Mega Buffs are those not too rare specimens with 50" horn spread.

Some real monsters also from Satara area and Richprince once posted a gigantic buff from beyond Klopperfontein. Seen one up there myself that could have made 50".

Your nos 1 & 2 are big but your no 3 should go 53"+ - a real mega buffalo !

There must have been a few real Monster Bulls in this 1000 plus herd seen quite often during our stay at Maroela ..Nornmally along the H7 near Bobbejaanskrans early in the morning ..I first saw the cloud of dust up front a km away and thought 'Oh no a Veld fire'..But then realised it was Buff after hearing their cattle like noises..I waited for them to arrive and it took 10 mins for them to pass!!!
