Thanks all O0 It was very interesting -- and entertaining -- to watch the heron hunting amongst the rocks O/\ The area is also a surfing spot, so there's quite some variety of entertainment along the Kommetjie coastal boardwalk \O

Can anyone help with an ID for this rat -- definitely larger than a mouse :) . Seen at MZNP in July 2015.

Thanks Toko O0 Karoo bush rat has also been suggested and doing a bit of sleuthing, it looks like Brandt's whistling rat may also occur in MZNP :-? So from no idea to a multitude of possible choices! O/ -O-

I thought this was a Duiker, then maybe a Klipspringer, but when compared to my other pics of those 2 antelopes, "something" seems off. Help please.

Don't agree. That dark marking is too low for a klipspringer. I'd stay with the duiker.
