Can anyone help with an ID of the critter that this blackheaded heron has caught? Is it a rat? Or a mole? Or something else? Seen along the seaside boardwalk at Kommetjie (yes this is part of TMNP) in late November 2014.

The give-away are the long hairs on the tail - only dwarf shrews and musk shrews have them.
