Puros Bush Lodge

Post by Expat »

0/* It is ages since we have asked for advice from AW, but now we are on our final trip to Namibia (pensioners - expensive) and so far we have managed to get to Epupa and back to Sesfontein (all this on the map, but have booked Epupa) and we want to book Puros Bush Lodge, but cannot find the correct booking site. Can anyone help, please? O0

It seems that you might have to book through someone else like safarinow or openafrica. -O-

Hi Expat

Did some Google digging hope it helps :

https://tracks4africa.co.za/listings/it ... -lodge-sc/
Address : 5km or 10min N of Puros, Kaokoland, Namibia
Postal : Puros Conservancy, P.O. Box 2195, Windhoek
Contact : Reservations: Jeremy Kaiko
Contact 2 : Puros Conservancy Office
Cell : +264(0)81 771 4361
Cell2 : +264(0)81 383 6811

At Purros Community Campsite you will experience the vastness of Namibia together with great game viewing opportunities in a natural setting; you will be unfortunate not to see an elephant as there are plenty of them.

:ty: Thank you Flutterby and Roger! Unfortunately the sites you suggested are ones that we have tried. O/ Open Africa did not come back to us. The last resort, I suppose, is to call them, but reluctant to do so from the UK!! Will let you know any progress. 0/*

0/* After doing a whole lot more trawling through the web, I came across this on tripadvisor.co.uk › Africa › Namibia › Namibia Travel Forum - and here I quote, "This is a warning to anyone considering booking with the "Spitzkoppe Reservations and Info Centre" run by Lesley Tjongarero" - which appalled me  We have now decided to just turn up and see what happens. However, a warning to other AW members might be in order. Admittedly this warning was posted in September of 2015 but from our experience recently, it still applies.

Hi,

Just browsing through the forum and came across these posts on the community camp at Puros. Please note that the camp has been under new management since September 2019, and the improvements are great. Running water, hot showers and clean ablutions at both the lodge and camp site. Please see www.wild-exp.com for their website with more info. Contact details are: bookings@wild-exp.com / +264 61251661

O\/ Looking through the forum came across a message regarding Puros Bush Camp in response to a question I asked in March 2017. Our next trip in March/April 2022 includes this camp and we have actually booked through the site recommended by htruter on the forum in May this year. We had to postpone twice (Covid) and they could not have been more helpful! \O So big congrats to wild-exp.com for their efficiency and htruter for posting on AW!
