World Rhino Day on Africa Wild

Post by Mel »

To pay respect to any rhino alive and to pay tribute to those that have been slaughtered so far, we would like members to engage in a rhino activity.
The procedure is easy enough: One member starts posting a rhino photo and adds a fact about rhinos. The next member picks up the fact from the
first member, adds another fact and another photo.

You may use your own photos or borrow from other members of the forum, giving credit to them by adding a © and the member's name next to it.

The format would look like this:

Member A:
1. Rhinos are mammals
PHOTO

Member B:
1. Rhinos are mammals
2. There are five species of rhino.
PHOTO

Member C:
1. Rhinos are mammals
2. There are five species of rhino.
3. The five species are: white rhino, black rhino, greater one-horned rhino, Sumatran rhino, Javan rhino
PHOTO

You may also post only facts without a photo, but not a photo without a fact. O**

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

8. Black rhino are susceptible to skin lesions caused by a filaria parasite. When visiting communal dung heaps along their trails, the rhinoceros pass the infection around the population: almost every individual has been infected by a small filariform worm called Stephanofilaria dinniki.
