Ok...I'm not too proud to admit that I am one of those people!!!  If they aren't cats what are they? :?BluTuna wrote:I find it amazing how many people think (wrongly) that Genets & Civets are cats:shock:

Hey Fluts,
They are Viverridae of the suborder Feliformia. (sorry, could not resist. -O )
Viverridae were once thought to be an ancestral group that led to the the other Feliformia i.e. cats & hyaenas. Recent studies have shown that they were from an ancient family (mesocarnivores) that branched off early in the Feliformidae lineage.

Re: Cats of Kruger
Such amazing pics!!
I have seen another Orpen Enforcer Peter! I do not think he is the same Lion. Taken June 2011 with my muk en druk next to the H7 by the farthest Rabaleis turn off!
On my last trip, I was in for a real treat! 8-)
Past Tsokwane, about 2km before Mazithi on the H1-3
Not even half awkward, considering I was sitting in the car with a girl I had met the day before

Cheetah ...this could be your lion...seen often around Bobbejaan's Krans and the turn off to S36
Aha ...here's the same "Cheetah enforcer' Lion I posted complete with hair around his leg
The same full mane Orpen Lion
At last ..I have a new Monitor with CORRECT Colours so my lions wont be orange anymore
This is a rework of an old image with the CORRECT Colour!!
I love my new Monitor...correct colours AT LAST :D

Re: Cats of Kruger
Ouch! That doesn't look good at all.
Actually, this one seems to be pretty desperate for food.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
