Love that stretch of the Olifants River outside the Park ..More Pels Fishing owls than the part in the Park on the river ..My family have a place nearer to Kruger /Adjacent to Kruger at Olifants Private Game Reserve

Well, yesterday was a scorcher and today is even worse. Here is what I could find in the heat yesterday...

This pic demonstrates nicely how a Giraffe walks. It lifts both feet on the same side at the same time and moves them forward. That's where that wobbly motion comes from when they walk...

The Steenbok seem to be a lot more relaxed...(habituated to vehicles)

As I said, another HOT start to the day, so I was back home before 10h00.

Yesterday afternoon late, just before the storm, I found a pride of five Lions. I managed to get a few good (I think) shots of the one male. Unfortunately, the wind knocked our power out and I couldn't dump them off the camera. I'll sort them out after work today and hopefully, I'll be able to post them here this evening. X#X
