Basically you need to overexpose the background as much as you can without over exposing the subject when taking the photo. Then use Photoshop to further enhance your photo...there are many ways of doing this .Google..there are many tutorials out there. :)

Great result
But I suppose it works better with contrasted subjects like a zebra, I am not sure what would be the result for, say, a Waterbuck

Here is a softer looking effort...actually I have had this one printed and I am so happy with it. I think you could get this look with any animal really...a photo without a cluttered background works best. :)
