Great info Peter \O \O I see you did it more subtle =O: =O: =O: than me .Over did it just to illustrate the difference and should have run a noise filter as well'

The starscape , just interested how will you do it in LR as you can't use layers, will you go for long exposure to get the stars moving???

Have a look at this also. This can be used to lighten and darken night time or landscape photography. You don't need photoshop but can be done with adobe elements Luminosity mask
